Training

I have to say this was one of the best training sessions I have ever attended. Sam and Muryel were absolutely fantastic, and the session was so insightful. I was nervous about attending this session as I thought it would be hard, and the terminology would go over my head!! This was an easy session to follow with some real tangible examples which I can put into practice. I feel so much more confident in having discussions around sustainability and can’t wait to challenge my customers on their own sustainability goals and ensuring it is an important element in their decision making moving forward.

Training

The training exceeded our expectations! Our team found it highly relevant to our business operations, making the content both accessible and practical. It empowered our people to take meaningful action and apply the learning directly to their work and personal lives. Team members described the sessions as engaging and adaptable to different learning styles. Many commented that they really enjoyed the training and felt inspired. The team came away motivated and confident. They appreciated the practical insights and felt inspired to implement sustainable practices in their daily work. Consultants now feel confident initiating conversations with clients about sustainability and supporting them in making events and business travel more sustainable. It has strengthened a culture of proactive, knowledge-driven action. Since our consultants are now more confident in the ESG field, it has encouraged more clients to ask about measuring event emissions and seeking support for sustainable practices. Internally, it has sparked valuable discussions on how we can expand and improve our ESG support further. Do it! Engage your whole team and share the knowledge widely. It opens up conversations, generates new ideas, and equips your people with the tools to make real, practical change. Absolutely. The training is highly practical, engaging, and inspiring. It equips teams with the confidence and knowledge to make sustainability a meaningful part of their work.

Training

I really enjoyed the training and got a lot out of it. I’ve previously shied away from sustainability because I didn’t fully understand it, but now I feel much more confident. I was surprised by just how many certifications and accreditations exist. The session has empowered me to guide others and speak up on sustainability topics. I’m now keen to learn more about GTM’s sustainability goals and impact report, and also explore ecoVadis.

Convenient that you could stop and start / come back to it if you got pulled away. The videos were clear and easy to understand it wasn’t full of jargon/ industry terms and any that were used were well explained.

Training

The sessions on Environmental Issues, Business Travel, and Sustainable Event Planning were highly informative and valuable. They provided a clear, structured overview of key sustainability topics and reinforced existing knowledge with practical, applicable insights. Complex subjects were broken down into clear, actionable areas, and the training remained relevant and engaging throughout. The glossary and handouts offered excellent reference materials, supporting continued learning beyond the sessions. Overall, the training delivered a strong balance of clarity, practicality, and inspiration. Highly recommended for anyone looking to expand their sustainability expertise.

Thank you for the training over the last couple of days - it was incredibly informative! I especially loved the stat that if hotel guests reused their towels, the water saved would fill 270,000 Olympic-sized swimming pools. I now feel much more confident advising clients on reducing their carbon footprint, like encouraging train travel or plant-based catering options. I’m also planning to check if our suppliers and venues prioritise sustainability. Small, conscious choices really do add up. I’d love to attend your future training on sustainability in events - it would be so helpful for our team!

Training

This workshop was truly eye-opening—it made it clear that sustainability is no longer optional but essential, especially in light of regulations like PN06/21. I gained a much deeper understanding of how climate change is impacting the UK directly, from shifting species habitats to declining farmland and rising food prices. I also learned about the role of the Paris Agreement and how Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) guide global efforts to reduce emissions—something I hadn’t fully appreciated before. The section on Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions was particularly valuable for understanding how businesses can assess and address both direct and indirect environmental impacts. I would absolutely recommend this workshop to others in my industry. It’s a solid introduction to sustainability, ESG, and net zero, and gives businesses practical tools to take action.

The hotel towel vs. swimming pool analogy really stuck with me! While my day-to-day work might not be directly affected, the discussion on train vs. plane travel, especially considering longer northern journeys, was thought-provoking. I’ll be more mindful when offering flights and check carbon emissions. It all helps and can make a difference. A very interesting and insightful session.

I was amazed by how the measuring process for sustainability works—previously, I couldn’t understand how something so intangible could be quantified. But Sam’s example of measuring a trip starting from home to the airport was a real eye-opener. I now feel better equipped to read and explain this to customers and help reduce their CO2 emissions. Personally, I’m also inspired to find more ways to reuse, recycle, and reduce. Fantastic training—an excellent source of knowledge to share with others. Thank you, Sam!

Training

The training was so well-structured, clear, and full of valuable insights. You explain sustainability concepts with such clarity and depth, and it’s clear how knowledgeable and passionate you are about what you do. For me, the most valuable insight was understanding how sustainability goes far beyond environmental actions, it’s also about people, purpose, and culture. The training reinforced how embedding sustainability into daily decisions and team behaviours can create real, lasting change. It also strengthened what I already believe: that ESG isn’t an external reporting exercise, but an inside job. It starts with mindset, leadership, and everyday choices. The content offered practical ways to align those values with how we operate and communicate across the business. I’d absolutely recommend this training to others in the hospitality industry. It’s clear, informative, and full of practical examples that make sustainability relatable and actionable. It’s particularly valuable for managers and decision-makers who might not yet be deeply familiar with sustainability in practice, helping them understand what their business truly needs and how to integrate those principles meaningfully. Overall, it’s an insightful and purpose-led course that turns sustainability from a policy into a meaningful part of business culture. Thank you, your knowledge and authenticity truly come through.
